About conference
On 23-25th of April, 2014 Russian Union of Juice Producers held in Moscow International conference “Juice World - 2014”. Issues of technical regulations of Customs Union’s market, assurance and control of products quality, perspectives of raw material markets and development of new technologies for juice production, evaluation of Russian and global customers’ behavior as well as a place of juices in a healthy diet were discussed.

Conference was held with a support of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russian Federation. N.V. Fedorov, the Minister of Agriculture, in his salutatory to the conference delegates noticed: “It is gratifying to note that the companies within the industry react quickly to consumers’ demand: increase production volumes, expand the assortment and improve the quality of products. In turn, increased state support of domestic agriculture and, in particular, the crop will let to provide juice industry with availability of Russian raw materials of high quality”.
Representatives of Eurasian Economic Commission, Federal Executive Bodies, including bodies of state control (supervision), Russian and foreign juice experts, delegates of international juice industry organizations, specialists of scientific and medical institutions, certification bodies and laboratories. Retailers and nutritionists took part at “Juice World”.
Scientific approaches and practical solutions to the various issues of the whole chain of juice products production were discussed at plenary sessions and workshops.
Seminar “Everything you need to know about juices” which was intended for a wide audience became a new item of conference program.
Practice shows that consumers do not have enough knowledge and still there are misconceptions about packaged juices, that is why the seminar illustrated the main steps of the manufacturing process and modern technology of gentle processing of fruits and vegetables at juices production, were announced new research findings of nutritional value of juices, as well as provided assessment by nutritionists of juice place in a healthy diet. Great interest of the audience aroused the presentation of Vincent van Buul from Maastricht University about connections of juice consumption with health and obesity.
During the conference a workshop on Reconstitution flavours for juices and nectars was held and was open a mini-exhibition on new technologies and packaging. All delegates had an opportunity to taste new products provided by sponsors.
“Juice World” conference unites for many years producers of raw materials, juice producers, suppliers of equipment and packaging materials and retailers and gives an opportunity to discuss industry tendencies, current issues and solutions, to present innovations.
International conference “Juice World – 2014” was finished with a press-conference “Three years of juice products quality monitoring at Russian market” where was presented to the journalists the System of Juice Products Quality Control worked out by Russian Union of Juice Producers as well as the results received after three years of its operation.
